I have come to the conclusion that, regardless of the question, the answer is love. When I see the world from this perspective, I have more compassion for myself and others.
First, I start with myself. I learn greater self-compassion. I learn how to forgive myself. I learn to use kind thoughts and to be non-judgmental toward myself. I find that this is an ongoing process with each thought I have.
I also apply this to any random emotions that come up. Usually, I notice that a thought precedes the emotion. I can trace that back to its origin and heal it then and there. I remind myself that it is a process, so I have patience.
As I continually heal myself, I heal my relationships. As I apply love to myself, loving others becomes easier.
My relationships strengthen. I communicate more honestly with my significant other. My family dinners are fun and relaxing. I find myself smiling more. I catch myself laughing more easily.
I notice that others are more loving towards me. I see the love all around me.
I am more loving and patient with my pets. They are my greatest teachers of unconditional love.
Becoming more loving towards myself and others enriches my life. I appreciate my loved ones more. The love keeps expanding. I attract more genuine people into my life.
Today, I am amazed at how a simple thing like love can light up my entire life.
